Limited Orthodontic care for young children

Dr. Rau and Dr. Nguyen have been trained in growth and development to help your child through their needs for orthodontics. They check your child’s teeth for orthodontic needs at almost every appointment.

Some limited orthodontic treatment is provided by our office to include space maintenance and palatal expansion. Space maintainers are used to save space for an adult tooth when a baby tooth has been lost prematurely. Palatal expanders are used to correct a narrow palate or gain more space for front teeth.

Dr. Rau or Dr. Nguyen will let you know if there are orthodontic needs. However, feel free to ask one of our dentists if you are interested in orthodontic care for your child. They will provide direction on how and when to proceed.
