Meet Our Team

I am a Board Certified pediatric dentist. I graduated from Marquette University with my doctorate in dental science and completed a pediatric dental residency at Baylor College of Dentistry (now part of Texas A&M University). I have been practicing dentistry for over 20 years. I truly enjoy working with children and helping them to achieve dental stability and health. My practice philosophy is to treat every child as if they were my own. My goal is to provide the best possible care to the children and special needs patients in the Manitowoc area.

My wife and three boys keep me very busy. I enjoy spending free time with my boys, on the water and in the woods. I grew up near here on a dairy farm and have family in much of the surrounding area. After spending many years on the road for school and with the military, it is time to grow our family’s roots and stay for a while. The Rau family has made Denmark, Wisconsin, our home.

My favorite food is anything that tastes good!

I have been practicing dentistry since 2013, and my passion is working with children. After knowing Dr. Rau for a few years, I started at Young Smiles part-time in early 2019. I love coming to work every day because the team at Young Smiles is so great and the kids have such great personalities.

I am originally from Houston, Texas, but I have made Wisconsin my home. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and reading!

My favorite animated movie is “Mulan.”

My favorite food is fried chicken.

I’m Angela, Dr. Rau’s wife. After much coercion, I made Wisconsin my home. It’s really cold here, but my husband promised a warm house. He has made good on his promise and I am acclimating!

I like watching football and soccer. I enjoy my herb and butterfly gardens although my boys don’t love the weeding. I enjoy traveling and outdoor recreational activities with my boys and love the opportunity to canoe, hike, kayak and climb.

In my extra time, I enjoy cooking. Dr. Rau and I have three boys and two boxer dogs. I spend most of my time with my boys. By profession, I am a teacher, and my favorite subjects are math and science. I love reading children’s books, picture books or chapter books to my boys, my classes or anyone who will listen. I often substitute teach when I am not working at Young Smiles or taking care of my boys.

My favorite animated movie is “Hotel Transylvania.”

My favorite food is anything that tastes good. I’m kind of a foodie!

I have been working as a dental hygienist since 2000, and I have been with Young Smiles since 2016. I enjoy spending time with family and anything that has to do with the outdoors in my free time.

My favorite animated movie is “The Incredibles.”

My favorite food is salmon.

I have been a dental assistant since 2012 and with Young Smiles since 2015. I enjoy working at Young Smiles because of the wonderful kids and families that I get to see every day. I also love working with all of the Young Smiles team. My favorite thing about being a dental assistant is being able to make each appointment a fun and great experience for the kids.

When I am not working, I am spending time with my family and cheering on the Packers or any Wisconsin sports team! I also love spending time with my dog, Max, and my cat, Jackson.

My favorite food is venison steaks.

I started my career as a dental assistant in 2016 right here at Young Smiles. I am married to my husband, Brandon and we have two boys, Maverick and Grant. I love working at Young Smiles because I enjoy all the funny things kids say, and I love helping them feel comfortable and confident at the dentist’s office!

My favorite animated movie is “Rio.”

My favorite food is tacos.

I started as a dental assistant with Young Smiles in 2024. My favorite thing about being a dental assistant is helping and interacting with patients. I value quality time with my significant other, Tucker. We have two cats named Shrimp and Stella, and a dog named Gunner. In my spare time, I enjoy baking, reading and traveling.

I started as a dental assistant with Young Smiles in 2018. I enjoy my job because of all the great kids I get to spend time with every day. I am married to my husband, Jim, and we have one son named C.J. and a dog named Ryder. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.

My favorite food is crab legs.

I started as a dental assistant at Young Smiles in 2018. I enjoy seeing all of the new smiling faces each and every day. My favorite thing about being a dental assistant is helping and making a difference in children’s lives. I have a beautiful baby boy, and I enjoy adventures with my son and being outside as much as possible.
