Insurance and Payments

At Young Smiles, we know that many families are on a budget and we want to help you get the dental care your child needs while being considerate of your budget. When possible, our pediatric dentist, Dr. Clint Rau and our general dentist, Dr. Thao Nguyen, will offer a range of options for dental treatment. When budget constraints do not allow for all of the recommended treatment, they can prioritize necessary treatment. We also have options for helping you cover the cost of your child’s dental care.

Insurance
If you have dental insurance, our office will file the dental claim and receive payment on your behalf. If you have questions concerning you insurance, please call and discuss them with us.

While we strive to give you accurate information, we are not affiliated with your insurance company and cannot guarantee insurance information. Dental plans are negotiated between an employer and an insurance company. We recommend you call your insurance company and ask if Young Smiles, Dr. Rau and Dr. Nguyen are in network for your specific plan.

We try to offer care for the underserved children in our community. If your child’s only insurance is Medicaid (or state) insurance, we will accept them as patients for dental treatment with a referral from a medical doctor or another dentist. We do not see Medicaid only patients for routine care. If there is a primary insurance through an employer in addition to the Medicaid, we will see your child for all care including the routine cleanings.
